Irene D. (Zienowicz) Salzillo

SALZILLO, Irene D. (Zienowicz), 89, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, May 2, 2020 at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston.

She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Salzillo.  Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John A. and Felicia H. (Kacofka) Zienowicz.  She was a resident of Johnston for most of her life.

Irene was employed at A.T. Cross Company for several years before retiring.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening and keeping a meticulously clean house.  She especially loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Irene was always taking care of others, even if she was not feeling well herself.

She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Karen Viscolosi and is survived by her son, Vincent Salzillo of Johnston; three grandchildren, Christopher J. Salzillo and his wife Erin, Eric M. Salzillo and Jenna A. Agnoli and her husband Joseph; three great grandchildren, Scarlett and Gwendolyn Agnoli and Lily Salzillo; a son-in-law, Louis Viscolosi; two siblings, Phyllis Mendozzi of Scituate and Frederick Zienowicz and his wife Gloria of Warwick and many nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Monia Konerko, Dominica “Jenny” Tedeschi, Ann Katkowski, Eleanor Danko, Melvina, Vincent, Francis “Steve”, Julian, Mitchell, Florian, Raymond, Stanley and John Zienowicz.
