LEDUC, Germaine T. (Desrocher), 108, formerly of West Warwick, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, February 26, 2022 at Riverview Healthcare Community.
She was the beloved wife of the late Gerard H. Leduc, who passed away in 1995. Born in Coventry, a daughter of the late Paul and Dorila (Desmarais) Leduc. She was a resident of West Warwick for most of her life.
Mrs. Leduc enjoyed playing cards, working on crossword puzzles, playing scrabble, sewing and crocheting but most of all she loved spending time with her family. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview for caring for their mom all these years and her son, Bill, for his lovingly care of mom.
She is survived by her children, Gloria Leduc-Whitty of Suffield, CT, William G. Leduc and his wife Dawn of West Warwick and Roland D. Leduc and his wife Cheryl of Bradenton, FL; eight grandchildren, Donna Lee Carchia (John), Mark C. Theroux (Kim), Christopher D. Theroux, Michele J. Theroux Comella (Steve and step-son Steve), William J. Leduc (Teri) and Daniel Leduc (Kimberly), Laurie Filippo and Darlene Botello; eleven great grandchildren, Domenic Carchia, Christopher Carchia, Katherine Carchia, William Leduc, Jr., Benjamin Leduc, Eric Theroux, Ryan Theroux, Sean Theroux, Elizabeth Rose Theroux, Nicholas Leduc and Nicolette Filippo and two great great grandchildren, Leonardo Carchia and Aurelia Carchia. She was the beloved mother of the late Susan J. (Leduc) Theroux and sister of the late Adie Autotte, Eva Pelote, Annette Olson, James, Donat, Roland and Armand Desrocher.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick (Masks are recommended) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick. Interment will be at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.
