Gerard A. “Jerry” Camerlin, 91, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, August 31, 2023 at Brentwood by the Bay in Warwick.
He was the beloved husband of Rosemarie (Spera) Camerlin, they had been married for sixty-seven years. Born in West Warwick, a son of the late Lionel and Aldea (Doucette) Camerlin. He was a resident of Cranston for most of his life before moving to Warwick two years ago.
After completion of his Air Force military service toward the end of the Korean War, Jerry returned to Rhode Island and was employed for over 40 plus years in the dairy industry with the former Arrow Lakes Dairy before retiring in 2008 with Munroe Dairy. He was a Korean War Air Force Veteran, a member of the American Legion, Auburn Post 20, an avid coin collector and he and his wife, Rosemarie, loved to travel.
Besides his wife he leaves his three children, Debbie DeCesaris and her husband Ronnie of West Warwick, Linda McMillen and her husband Robert of Prospect, Tennessee and Gary Camerlin of Stillwater, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a great great grandson. He was the brother of the late Madeline Langlais, Armand Camerlin and Noelle Ferretti.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 120 Legris Avenue, West Warwick followed by interment with military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
