Gabriella A. (Fricker) Parente

PARENTE, Gabriella 'Gay' A. (Fricker), 88, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Kent County Memorial Hospital, Warwick.

She lived with and was taken care of by her daughter, her grandson John Carlos, Jr. and fiancé Molly Hanoum.

She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio D. Parente, Sr.  Born in East Providence, daughter of the late Stevens and Alice (Taylor) Fricker.

Mrs. Parente was employed as a presser with Security Cleansers for thirty years before retiring in 1995.  She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren day after day right up until her death.

She is survived by her oldest son, Joseph Parente of House Springs, MO. along with her twins, Antonio Parente, Jr. of Johnston and Alicia Carlos of West Warwick and a brother, Robert Fricker of East Providence.  She was the mother of the late Janice Charest and sister of the late Joseph Fricker, Alice Buckley, Stevens Fricker, Ronald Fricker and Douglas Fricker.

She also leaves five grandsons, five granddaughters, three great-grandsons and six great-granddaughters (one of which is her namesake Gabriella Carlos). 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Gathering on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service to begin at 6:45 p.m. conducted by her son, Antonio Parente, Jr., in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105-9959 in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences, please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
