Ernest S. Ferretti, 96, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, May 3, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Alice V. (Heaney) Ferretti, with whom he shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Joseph R. and Adelina S. (Pinto) Ferretti.
Mr. Ferretti was a lifelong resident of West Warwick and a highly respected Master Plumber. He was a dedicated member of the UA Local 51 Plumbing and Pipefitting and a proud Korean Army Veteran. His commitment to his community was evident through his active involvement on the board of the East Natick Vets.
Ernest cherished spending time with his family and enjoyed many rounds of golf at Godard Park. His legacy of love and dedication to his family will be fondly remembered.
Besides his loving wife, Ernest leaves behind three children: Ernest J. Ferretti, Mary Elizabeth Ferretti, and Joseph R. Ferretti. He was also the proud grandfather of two grandchildren, Damian Ferretti and Ernest E. Ferretti, and the great-grandfather of Blake and Stone. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Enos.
His burial, with military honors, will be held at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter on FRIDAY, MAY 16, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. Funeral procession will gather at 1:25 p.m. in the Cemetery's Administration Build parking lot on the right hand side as you enter the cemetery.
