Edward "Eddie" J. Mimnaugh, Jr.

Edward J. “Eddie” Mimnaugh, Jr., 55, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Kent Hospital.

Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of the late Edward J. Mimnaugh, Sr. and Gail A. (Stimpson) Mimnaugh. Eddie was a lifelong resident of Cranston, a community he cherished and to which he gave so much of himself.

Eddie will be remembered for his selfless nature and generous spirit. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, offering kindness without hesitation and friendship without condition. To know Eddie was to know someone who truly cared—someone who made others feel seen, supported, and valued. His warmth and loyalty earned him the admiration and love of many dear friends.

He also found joy in life’s simple and meaningful connections, including the special bond he shared with his sister’s beloved pets, Moose the cat and Ranger the dog, who brought him great comfort and companionship.

He is survived by his loving sister, Meghan K. Mimnaugh, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss his presence in their lives.

In accordance with Eddie's wishes, his funeral services will be private, and visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Cranston Public Library, William Hall Branch, Broad Street, Cranston, RI 02905, or to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI 02907.
