Eduardo M. Correia, 69, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 27, 2023 at home.
He was the beloved husband of Olga (Sousa) Correia, they had been married for forty-seven years. Born in Rabo de Peixe, São Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Jose T. and Maria (Soares) Correia.
Mr. Correia was a heavy equipment operator for fifty years with various construction companies including Walter Reynolds and Tilcon Gammino, Inc. before retiring from Cardi Corporation in 2018. He was a communicant of St. Anthony Church, a member and past president of the Holy Ghost Society and the Portuguese American Citizen Club serving on various committees with both organizations. He was a member of the Amigos de Rabo de Peixe organization and enjoyed traveling to Sao Miguel.
Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Kenny Correia and his wife Jill, Brian Correia and his wife Shelly, and Eduardo Correia and his wife Christina; four grandchildren, Ella, Aidan, Adriana, and Lola Correia; and three siblings, Jaime Correia, Maria Estrella, and Maria Medeiros. He was the brother of the late Albertina Raulino, Jose Correia, Manuel Correia and Antonio Correia.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 8:45 a.m. from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick.
