Doris M. (Sandborn/Joyal) Boudreau

BOUDREAU, Doris M. (Sandborn/Joyal), 96, formerly of Coutu Court, West Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, May 17, 2024, at West Shore Health Center, Warwick.

Married 65 years, she was the beloved wife of the late Armand D. “Cowboy” Boudreau, Sr. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was a lifelong resident of West Warwick except for traveling during Armand’s 20-year Army career.

Doris, known as Dot to her friends and as MeMe to her grandchildren, was a loving wife, sister-in-law, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend who was always happy to talk or lend an ear. She was a lover of music, an enthusiastic dancer (jitterbug, please), and an avid crocheter (afghans were her specialty) with a legendary sweet tooth (coffee ice cream hot fudge sundae, no nuts because she always said “I’m nutty enough”) for her entire life.

She will be missed by her four children: Laure M. Paul and her husband Alan of Warwick, RI, Armand D. Boudreau, Jr. and his wife Pat of Buena Vista, CO, Keith P. Boudreau and his wife Michelle of Crestview, FL and Renee J. DeMello of Foster; as well as her eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in SS. John and James Church, Washington St., West Warwick. Interment will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter where she will be buried next to her husband.
