LANGLAIS, Donald J., 92, of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of the late Doris (Lariviere) Langlais. Born in Coventry, son of the late Robert and Courana (Hebert) Langlais. He was a lifelong resident of Coventry.
Mr. Langlais was employed as a Maintenance Manager for Victor Electric for thirty-nine years before retiring in 1995. He was a Korean War Army Veteran, a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church and a member of the National Association of Power Engineers. He was a member of VFW Post 144 in the North End of Boston, always loved to work and enjoyed camping.
He is survived by two daughters, Alma Krawzik and her husband Edward and Louise York and her husband Kyle; six sons, Robert P. Langlais and his wife Pam, Pierre R. Langlais and his wife Mary, Daniel J. Langlais Lt. Commander, USN (Ret.) and his wife Lenora, Charles Langlais, Lt. Colonel, USAF (Ret.) and his wife Patsy, Marc D. Langlais and Luc J. Langlais and his wife MaryBeth; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Michelle Gadoury and brother of the late Geffrey Langlais and Reginald Langlais.
His funeral will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 at 8:45 a.m. from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6 St. Vincent de Paul Street, Coventry. Interment with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
