Dominic S. Ferretti

Dominic S. Ferretti, 86, of Horta Drive, West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Elaine M. (Santilli) Ferretti for nearly fifty-eight years. Born in West Warwick, he was the only child of the late Dominick A. and Dora M. (Pontarelli) Ferretti.

Dominic graduated from the former Warwick Veterans High School, Warwick, and resided in West Warwick most of his life. He worked as a shipfitter for General Dynamics Electric Boat for twenty-seven years prior to retiring. An avid sports fan, Dominic played baseball for his high school team and played competitive softball as an adult. He dedicated over twenty years of community service as a volunteer basketball coach for the Catholic Youth Ministry through Sacred Heart Church, and a baseball coach for the Arctic Jr. League. Dominic was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who lived his life with integrity, kindness and sensitivity.

Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his loving son, Michael D. Ferretti and his most cherished granddaughter, Isabella “Bella” Ferretti, both of Florida.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 25th at 10:00 a.m. from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Ave., West Warwick, followed by interment at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.
