Dennis J. Smith

Dennis J. Smith, 51, of North Providence, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Dennis C. and Vincenza M. (Trombetti) Smith.  In his youth, Dennis grew up in the Silver Lake section of Providence.

Dennis was a driver for twenty years with M. Solomon Casket Company.  He enjoyed cards and music but most importantly, he loved family get-togethers.

He is survived by his companion, Melissa Pitts and three siblings, Tammy A. Miccoli, Timothy A. Smith and Todd A. Smith.  He was the caring step-father of Robert, Ryan, Kaitlyn and Kara and papa to Santino and Rory.  He was the loving uncle to Franco Miccoli, Jr., Nicholas Miccoli, Briana Miccoli, Devin Smith, Megan Smith and Jianna Smith and many great nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
