Dennis R. Frechette, Sr., 77, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Kent Hospital in Warwick.
He was the beloved husband of Gilda M. (Corbin) Frechette, with whom he shared fifty-three years of marriage. Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late George and Beatrice (Brouillard) Frechette. Dennis resided for many years in West Warwick before making his home in Warwick.

A proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Metal, Vietnam Service Metal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal as an expert in rifle. Above all else, Dennis cherished his family. He was devoted to being a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and especially enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren. He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, including spending time at the beach and taking cruises with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Dennis R. Frechette, Jr.; Bruce M. Frechette and his companion, Nikcole Cotnoir; and Christine Noel and her husband, Donald; two siblings, Michael Frechette and Blanche Hayden; nine grandchildren, Anthony, Kayla (fiancé Scott), Erik, Nikolas, Alex, Beatrice, Dennis, Philip, and Evan; and a great-granddaughter, Biannca Marie. He was predeceased by his brother, George Frechette.
