Delfina J. (Carreiro) Sebastiao

Delfina J. (Carreiro) Sebastiao, 51, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, December 16, 2023.

She was the beloved wife of Jose E. Sebastiao, they were married for thirty one years.  Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, a daughter of the late Jose L. and Maria S. (Andrade) Carreiro.  She was a resident of West Warwick for most of her life.

Delfina was employed with Allied Universal Security for many years, most recently at Rhode Island Hospital.  Her many interests included drawing, coloring, playing board games and reading.  She loved spending time with her family and cooking for them, listening to music, taking long walks and completing DIY projects.

She is survived by her husband, Jose E. Sebastiao; her two children, Calby J. Sebastiao and Taylor L. Sebastiao; five sisters, Maria E. Figueiredo, Natalia Cabral, Irene Torres, Filomena Costa and Florinda Carreiro; three brothers, Joe M. Carreiro, Joao C. Carreiro and Paul Carreiro and her father and mother-in-law, Manuel and Maria (Vieira) Sebastiao. She also leaves eleven brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Victor L. Carreiro.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 8:45 a.m. from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick.  Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick.  Visiting hours Wednesday 5:00-7:00 p.m. Information and condolences, please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
