Constance M. (Lawrence) Greaves

Constance M. (Lawrence) Greaves, 94, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, December 17, 2025, at Kent Hospital in Warwick.

Better known as “Connie”, was the beloved wife of the late Charles Greaves, who passed away in 2007. Born in Bristol, Connie was a daughter of the late Joseph and Luciana (Almeida) Lawrence. She resided for many years in Exeter and West Warwick before making Warwick her permanent place of residence.

Connie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, and she had a remarkable gift for making everyone she met feel welcomed and loved. She was outgoing and genuinely kind, leaving a lasting impression wherever she went. Known for her impeccable sense of style, she had a lifelong love of fashion, loved dancing, and always carried herself with elegance. Connie especially enjoyed dining at Gregg’s Restaurant in Warwick. She dined there quite often, creating what felt like a second home, where she became family due to the love & warmth she always received.

She leaves behind her devoted children: three sons, David W. Greaves and his companion Jacqueline, Gerald C. Greaves and his companion Theresa, and James W. Greaves and his wife Lynn; and two daughters, Deborah C. Greaves and Judy A. Greaves. She was also a cherished grandmother to Jason, Lyndsey, Bethany, and Corey who always referred to her as their “Nana”.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Frederick J. Greaves, and by her siblings, Hilda Holden, Mary DeMello, Irene Breault, Manuel Lawrence, John Lawrence, David Lawrence, and Joseph “Chick” Lawrence.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Interment will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
