Cathy J. D'Amico, 52, of Coventry, passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning, August 3, 2026, at Kent Hospital.
Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of Edward C. D'Amico of Warwick and the late Marsha J. (King) D'Amico. Cathy was raised in Warwick before making her home in Coventry.
A dedicated public servant, Cathy was employed by the Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles, where she proudly served as a supervisor. She was a 1992 graduate of Warwick Veterans Memorial High School.
Above all else, Cathy cherished her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her beloved children, Mia and Max, who were the center of her world. She also enjoyed reading, listening to music, relaxing at the beach, and taking rides in her Jeep. Cathy had a special place in her heart for her faithful companion, her beloved dog, Styxx D'Amico.
In addition to her father, she leaves her loving children, Mia N. D'Amico and Max A. Simpkins; her sister, Sherry L. D'Amico; and her brother, Edward C. D'Amico, Jr., USN (Ret.). She also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and colleagues who will remember her with love and affection.
Funeral services will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
