Caroline “Carol” A. (Bertsch) Maynard, 87, formerly of North Road, Hope, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023 at West Shore Health Center in Warwick.
She was the beloved wife of the late Paul E. Maynard, Sr. Born in Cranston, a daughter of the late Henry G. and Elizabeth W. (Greenless) Bertsch. She was a resident of Hope for thirty years.
Carol was a retail clerk at JJ Newbury Store in West Warwick for twenty-five years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, and going for walks.
She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne M. Domenicone and her husband Steven, Claudine A. Pierce and her husband William; six grandchildren, Stephanie M. Verrier, Robert H. Verrier, Nicholas J. Domenicone, Christina M. Domenicone, Geoffrey Schmoll and Spencer Pierce; five great grandchildren, Aubrey, Carly, Gabriella, Skylar, and Gavin Raposo; her very close friend, Margie Mann and two sisters, Emily Ciancio and Shirley Lascola. She was the mother of the late Paul E. Maynard, Jr. and the sister of the late Henry J. Bertsch.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a funeral home service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Warwick.
