Antonio S. Lopes

Antonio S. Lopes, 84, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully Friday morning, March 8, 2024 at Care New England Hospice at Kent Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Fernanda M. (Monteiro) Lopes, they had been married for fifty-seven years.  Born in Melo Gouveia, Portugal, he was the son of the late Arminio Lopes Carvalho and Maria J. (DaSilva) Lopes.

Mr. Lopes was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Carla Wardyga and her husband Charles; a granddaughter, Adriana Wardyga and a sister, Jacinta Teles.  He was the beloved father of the late Isabel Maria Lopes and brother of the late Serafim Lopes and Arminda Teles.

His funeral will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick.  Interment will be private.
