Antoinette (D'Arpino) Nunes

NUNES,  Antoinette, (D’Arpino), 90, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, August 16, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter.

She was the beloved wife of the late Liduino C. Nunes, who passed away in 2010.  Born in Frosinone, Italy, a daughter of the late Giovanni and Anna (Greco) D’Arpino.  She was a resident of West Warwick for many years.

Mrs. Nunes was the co-owner, along with her husband, of the former Nunes Fruit Store in West Warwick for many years until retiring.  

She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed bird watching and was an avid fan of the women’s professional basketball (WNBA) team the Connecticut Sun where she was a twenty-one year season ticket holder.   

She is survived by a son, John C. Nunes and his wife Jean of Warwick; three daughters, Rosanne A. Conard and her husband Dick of Cranston, Patricia A. Lambert and her husband David of Coventry and Christine V. Demers and her husband Kevin of Warwick; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.  

Her funeral will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 at 9:00 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick. Interment will be in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
