It is with sorrow and a small degree of comfort that we tell of our father, Anthony ‘Tony’ Palumbo’s passing on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Son of Antonio and Assunta 'Susie' (Scipione) Palumbo, Cranstonions all, Tony passed in the loving care of his family in Fallbrook, CA.
Dad navigated many challenges throughout his life. Along with Mom he remained steadfast in his commitment to ensuring his children would enjoy all he could not. Dad lived 92 fruitful years and his spirit was always one for giving to others. Talented and accomplished across a variety of skills, he freely offered those skills in service to those around him. He had many grateful people in his orbit. Additionally, Tony was a Korean War veteran in the US Airforce and enjoyed a career at the Naval Underwater Systems Center in Newport, RI.
As for his children and grandchildren, and his wife Elaine, we are sad but feel blessed that he was in our lives for so long. He was truly a guiding light for us.
Pre-deceased by siblings Frank, Marjorie and Jimmy, Tony is survived by his wife of 65 years Elaine, children Mark and his wife Marla, Susan and her husband David, twins Leslie and Eric, grandchildren Kate, Carter, Emily, Matthew, Erin, Alex, Elizabeth, and great grandchildren Colin, Darcy, Andrew, Regan, Connor and a new addition, Ocean. He is also survived by his brother Eddie, sisters Marie, Elaine and Paula and many nieces and nephews.
Dad you will be thought of and talked about often with our fondest memories; we pray for you a rest so richly deserved. We love you.
Services will be determined soon and will be communicated here.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TX 38105-9959 in his memory would be appreciated.
