Anne M. (Carley) Cournoyer

COURNOYER, Anne M. (Carley), 92, formerly of Pawtuxet Terrace, West Warwick, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA.

She was the beloved wife of the late Bernard W. Cournoyer, upon his passing they had been married for 56 years.  Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late John and Olivine (Cardin) Carley.  She was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.

Mrs. Cournoyer was employed as a mender in the fishing net industry for many years followed by eighteen years at Wendy’s Restaurant on Bald Hill Road in Warwick before retiring.

She is survived by a son, Stephen B. Cournoyer and his wife Jane Mitchell of South Kingstown; a daughter, Michele A. Medeiros and her husband Jack of Fall River, MA; four granddaughters, Carley, Rachel, Leah and Katie Medeiros; two step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a funeral home service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences please visit: www.
