Ann Gallogly Obituary

Ann G. "Mims" (Cifelli) Gallogly, 93, formerly of Peabody Drive, Warwick, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, July 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at Bayview Rehabilitation at Scalabrini in North Kingstown.

She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Gallogly, Sr., who predeceased her in 1995. Born in Providence, she was the cherished daughter of the late Constantino "Gus" and Caroline (Matarese) Cifelli. Ann was a lifelong Rhode Island resident and made her home in Warwick for most of her life.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Ann lived a life centered on faith, family, and kindness. She was employed as the Executive Assistant to the Director of Public Works in Warwick for 24 years. She was well known and respected for her dedication and work ethic as well as bringing a level of decorum and manners to the Public Works department.

A part of the fabric of the City of Warwick, Ann was instrumental in organizing the City's St. Patrick's Day and St. Joseph's Day celebrations. She was a volunteer at St. Benedict's School, Warwick Public Library, Warwick Historical Society and The House of Hope for many years.Upon retiring from her full time job, Ann immediately began to serve at the Pilgrim Senior Center in various capacities. Her volunteer work at the Senior Center spanned 28 years which made her the longest serving volunteer in the City of Warwick. Ann was also an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America for many years.

She especially treasured time spent with her family, celebrating holidays, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. Her home was the gathering spot for her extended family as well as friends throughout the neighborhood. She was a faithful communicant of the former St. Benedict Church, where her faith remained an important part of her life.

She is survived by her loving children: Carolyn A. (Gallogly) Stetson-Bishop and her husband William of Tolland, CT; Colonel Lawrence P. Gallogly, III, USAF (Ret.), and his wife Liz of Savannah, GA and Snug Harbor, RI; Gavin T. Gallogly and his wife Kathy of Boca Raton, FL and Schaumburg, IL; and Thomas F. Gallogly, Jr. and his wife Susan of Coventry. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Megan, Matthew, Erin, Timothy, Caroline, Rachel, Andrew, Lawrence and Taylor; her beloved great-grandchildren, Logan, Lukas, Ella, Fiona, Noah, Guinevere, James, Kendall, Rhys, Riley, Nicholas and  Michael; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will fondly remember her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love.
