Ann Flynn Obituary

Ann T. Flynn, 67, of Cranston, formerly of Providence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Miriam Hospital in Providence.

Born in Providence, she was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Barbara (Santos) Flynn. Ann was a proud lifelong Rhode Islander, growing up in Providence where she attended local Catholic schools and cultivated a deep sense of faith, family, and community. She moved to Cranston ten years ago, bringing her signature warmth and vibrant energy wherever she went.

Ann was the beloved companion of Michael Swift and a devoted mother to her daughter Stefanie A. Villatoro. She was the cherished grandmother of Destinee Pereira, Kyle Villatoro, and Alexandra Villatoro, and the proud great-grandmother of Greyson Pereira, who brought immense joy to her heart.

She leaves behind her dear siblings, Veronica M. Flynn-Rocha, John Santos, Dottie Bettencourt, MaryAnne Quinn and Joanne Santos.

She is also lovingly remembered by her best friend Cindy Brown.

Known to many as “The Queen of Halloween,” Ann had an extraordinary love for celebrating every holiday—especially Halloween, when she transformed her home with spirited decorations that delighted neighbors and visitors alike. Her joyful spirit, contagious laughter, and passion for life left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Ann embraced every moment with enthusiasm, whether she was dancing at the disco, singing her favorite songs, hunting for treasures at yard sales, or simply spending time with her family and friends. Her love was unconditional, her heart immeasurable, and her presence unforgettable.

Relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick.

Memorial contributions in Ann’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959—an organization she deeply admired.

Ann’s legacy of love, laughter, and celebration lives on through the many lives she touched. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
