Angelo Marsocci Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Angelo A. Marsocci, who departed this life peacefully on July 26, 2025, at the age of 94, surrounded by several members of his loving family.

Throughout his entire life, Angelo was a man of deep faith. He held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. He was a devoted servant of Christ, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a beacon of kindness to all who knew him.  Angelo found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. We rejoice and find comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the arms of his Savior. “In His light, we find comfort."

Born on March 16, 1931, Angelo spent his childhood in East Natick, West Warwick, Rhode Island, and was a longtime resident of Duxbury, Massachusetts. For the past two years he lived with his daughter Anne-Marie, in Hales Location, New Hampshire. Angelo was proud and privileged to have served his country in the United States Air Force, before attending The University of Rhode Island, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

No matter where he lived, he was known for his brilliant mind, especially in math and science, and his ingenuity. He was a skilled creator and inventor, creating and constructing an operational telescope and even building a fully functioning wooden canoe by hand. Whether it was construction/carpentry, installing a light fixture, or troubleshooting a car repair, Angelo was always there to lend a helping hand. He was extremely generous and dedicated to the service of others, especially the less fortunate and those in need.

During his long professional career, he designed and engineered state of the art smoke detectors and as a result, was the holder of several patents.

Angelo loved sports and was extremely active well into his eighties. He particularly loved the game of tennis and was an avid player until late in life.

Angelo was a devoted husband to Ellen (Kaiser) Marsocci, who predeceased him, but with whom he shared over forty years of loving marriage.  He was also predeceased by his first wife Anne (Pettine) Marsocci, who passed away after only five years into their marriage. He was an amazing and loving father to his three children, Shaun O’Rourke of Weymouth, Anne-Marie Baughn (Kent) of Hale’s Location, New Hampshire and David Marsocci (Felicia) of Pembroke, Massachusetts. He was a cherished grandfather to his ten grandchildren, Maegen, Shaun, Lauren, Kevin, Andrew, Matthew, Madelyn, Eric, Mia and Ava.  He also leaves behind several loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Flora Coletta, Joseph Marsocci, Albert Marsocci and Angelina Petrarca.

His legacy of love, faith, integrity, and quiet strength lives on in all who knew him.
