JOHNSON, Amy K., 31, of Boston, MA, formerly of West Warwick, RI passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at home.
Born in Warwick, she was the beloved daughter of Cheryl A. (Doyle) Johnson of West Warwick and the late Ernest “Skip” Johnson. She lived in West Warwick and Providence before moving to Boston several years ago.
Amy was a 2008 graduate of West Warwick High School and received a bachelor’s degree in International Tourism from Johnson & Wales University in 2011. She was an office manager with Viking Cruises for the past 3 ½ years and had a passion for travel. Her wanderlust was legendary.
Besides her mother she leaves her loving companion, Matt Lee, of Boston; two sisters, Heidi L. Johnson of West Warwick and Sarah E. Johnson and her partner Caitlin Larocque of West Warwick. She was the maternal granddaughter of the late William and Madeleine Doyle and beloved paternal granddaughter of Raymond and Rosemary Johnson of Coventry. She leaves four nieces and nephews, Jacob Staradumsky, Hannah O’Leary, Sean Patrick O’Leary and Madeleine Johnson, several aunts and uncles, Aunty Patty and Uncle Dennis Chatelle, Uncle Don and the late Carolyn Babiec and Auntie Susan and Uncle Paul St. Amand, all of West Warwick, Auntie Renee and Uncle Ray Johnson and Auntie Lisa Johnson, all of Coventry. Amy also leaves behind cousins, friends and friends she hadn’t met yet.
Her funeral will be held Monday, April 26, 2021 at 9:45 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick. Interment will be private. Visiting hours Sunday 3:00-6:00 pm (all State COVID-19 guidelines will be observed).
