DESROCHER, Albert E., 76, a lifelong resident of West Warwick, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Kent Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Judith A. (McCabe) Desrocher, they had been married for fifty-one years. Born in West Warwick, a son of the late Armand and Elizabeth (Dubuc) Desrocher.
Mr. Desrocher was employed as a pipe fitter at Hoechst Chemical later becoming Clariant Chemical, for over forty years before retiring as boiler room operator in 2008. He was a Vietnam era Army Veteran, a life member of the AmVets, the West Warwick American Legion Post 2 and an avid sports fan watching his favorite teams, the New York Yankees, Green Bay Packers and Boston Celtics.
Besides his wife he leaves two sisters, Lucille S. Maguire of Coventry and Aline L. Martone and her husband of Warwick and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Leo G. Desrocher.
The family has requested masks wearing at the funeral home and masks are required at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 9:15-10:15 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Interment with military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
