KIRK, Agnes M. (Giblin), 90, of North Kingstown, passed away with her loving daughter by her side on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Bayview Rehabilitation at Scalabrini, North Kingstown.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late James H. and Malvina P. (Brinkman) Giblin. She resided in North Kingstown for many years.
Agnes was employed as a health aide at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Providence and the State of Rhode Island Medical Center in Cranston for many years until retiring.
Agnes was an avid crafter, she taught ceramics for many years, while crocheting was her favorite needlework and dabbled in many others. She would often crochet while watching her Red Sox play. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed her many pets throughout the years the most.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane-Ellen Kirk and her partner, Mary Comerford of Coventry; her grandchildren, Giaco, Jessi, Heather, Michael, their spouses and children and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late James A. Geremia, Sr. and John J. Kirk and sibling of the late George G.G. Giblin, James H. Giblin, Jr., Edward W. Giblin and Julia A. Giblin-Nash.
Her funeral service and interment will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions to and animal rescue agency or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory would be appreciated.
