Violet M. (Durand) Coutu

COUTU, Violet M.,(Durand), 94, of Coventry, passed away Sunday morning, May 28, 2017 at Riverview Health Care Community.

She was the wife of the late Philias T. Coutu.  Born in Coventry, she was the daughter of the late Archil J. and Cordelia (Gladu) Durand.  She was a lifelong resident of Coventry.

Mrs. Coutu was a weaver with various textile mills in the Pawtuxet Valley area.

She is survived by a son, Ronald E. Coutu of Coventry and four grandsons, Ronald, Steven, Brad and Keith Coutu.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 10:00 am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6 St. Vincent de Paul Street, Coventry.  Interment will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
