DEAN, Steven P., 55, of Maple Avenue, West Warwick, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday evening, Nov. 4, 2017.

He was the beloved husband of Cynthia A. (Dull) Dean, they had been married for 36 years.  Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Edward G. Dean, Sr. and Josephine V. (Pankowicz) Dean.  He was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.

Steve was a supply and distribution supervisor at Kent Hospital working there for 37 years.  He was an active member of the West Warwick Lodge of Elks # 1697 and served as a past Exalted Ruler three times and a member of the Elks Emblem Club.  He was an avid golfer and belonged to the West Warwick Country Club, member of the East Greenwich Veteran Fireman’s Club, enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing pitch at the Elks.  Being an ultimate New England sports fan, Steve had great passion for the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Boston and Providence Bruins.  He was a season ticket holder and enjoyed spending Friday nights with his family at the P Bruins games.  Steve’s great passion was his cherished family, he was a devoted husband, father, son and brother.  The light of his life was his granddaughter, Isabella.

Besides his wife he leaves a son, Aaron S. Dean of Hope; a daughter, Kristin J. Carle and her husband Joseph of West Warwick; a granddaughter, Isabella Carle; two brothers, Bruce and Peter Dean; four sisters, Carol Carulo, Patricia Dean, Janice Peixinho and Kathie Dean-Cutlip and many nieces and nephews.  He was the brother of the late Edward G., Jr., Jeffrey, Robert and Christopher Dean.

His funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at 10:45 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, Washington St., Coventry. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Coventry. Visiting hours Thursday 4:00-7:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Special Olympics RI, 370 George Washington Hwy, Smithfield, RI 02917 or West Warwick Lodge of Elks # 1697, 60 Clyde St., West Warwick, RI 02893 in his memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences, please visit:
