Welcome to the memorial page for

Rosemarie (Pacheco) Powers

December 20, 1930 ~ July 9, 2017 (age 86) 86 Years Old

POWERS, Rosemarie (Pacheco), 86, formerly of Cranston, passed away Sunday morning, July 9, 2017 at West Shore Health Center.

She was the beloved wife of the late Walter J. Powers who passed away in 2001.  Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Roderick) Pacheco.  She was a resident of Cranston for many years.

Mrs. Powers was a registered nurse in the recovery room at St. Joseph Hospital in Providence for many years before retiring in 2001 and continuing per diem for several years after.  She was a 1949 graduate of West Warwick High School and a 1952 graduate of RI Hospital School of Nursing.  She enjoyed knitting, traveling, and reading, including autobiographies and travel books, but her most memorable times were spent with her beloved grandchildren.  Because she loved color, relatives and friends are asked to celebrate her life by wearing colorful attire at her services.

She is survived by her loving children, Kathleen Priest and her husband Henry of Cranston, Rosemary Reardon and her husband Paul of Johnston, Walter J. Powers, Jr and his late wife Cynthia of Foster, Michael Powers and his wife Michelle of West Greenwich and Patricia Heatwole and her husband Mark of Seneca Falls, NY; her beloved grandchildren, Zachary Priest and his wife Colleen, Alexander Priest and his fiancé Halie Rondeau, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Noelle, Nolan Powers and Bianca Heatwole; two siblings, Dolores Fontaine and her husband Philippe of East Granby, CT and Royal Pacheco of West Warwick. She was the sister of the late Anthony Pacheco of West Warwick.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 14, 2017 from 8:30 - 9:30 am in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Ave., West Warwick.  Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences please visit www.henault-gallogly.com
