Raymond J. Pancarowicz

February 8, 1928 ~ May 2, 2017 (age 89) 89 Years Old


PANCAROWICZ, Raymond J., 89, of New London Avenue, Warwick, passed away Tuesday morning, May 2, 2017 at Brentwood Nursing Home.

He was the beloved husband of Barbara E. (Brown) Pancarowicz, they had been married for 66 years.  Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Frank and Antonina (Golowska) Pancarowicz.  He was a resident of Warwick for many years.

Mr. Pancarowicz was a pipefitter at General Dynamics Electric Boat Division in Quonset for many years before retiring in 1991.  Previously he was an instrument mechanic with the U.S. Naval Air Station at Quonset Point.  He was a WW II Army Veteran, a communicant of Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church and enjoyed gardening.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Lynn Lawrence of Warwick; three sons, Raymond J. Pancarowicz, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Gary T. Pancarowicz of Coventry and David B. Pancarowicz of Warwick; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  He was the brother of the late Helen Pacheco, Celia Santos, Julia Beaudreau, Eugenia Mello, Walter, Stanley and John Pancarowicz.  He was the grandfather of the late Timothy D. Pancarowicz.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 9:00-10:30 am in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington Street, Coventry.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Heart Association, RI Chapter, 1 State Street, Ste. 200, Providence, RI 02908 in his memory would be appreciated.
