VANASSE, Pauline E., (Belleville), 84, a resident of West Warwick, passed away Friday evening, August 24, 2018 at Riverview Health Care Community.
She was the beloved wife of Henry L. Vanasse, they had been married for fifty four years. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Henri and Emma (Boisvert) Belleville. She resided in West Warwick for most of her life.
Mrs. Vanasse was employed in the business office at Kent County Hospital and later at the West Warwick Champlin Public Library for many years until her retirement. She was a communicant of Christ the King Church and was the former president of the West Warwick Figure Skating Association. Her memorable times included spending time with her family at the beach and being a fan of the Boston Red Sox.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Michael H. Vanasse of North Kingstown and Gregory T. Vanasse of South Kingstown; two daughters, Renee L. Warila of Exeter and Claudine M. Curran of Lexington, North Carolina; two brothers, Arthur Belleville of West Greenwich and Henri Belleville of Hope; a sister, Henrietta Streker of West Greenwich and seven grandchildren, Laura and Elizabeth Vanasse, Tyler Vanasse, Emily and Stephanie Warila and Caitlyn and Joseph Curran. She was the sister of the late Beatrice Ford.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 9:00 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy Street,, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Christ the King Church, Legris Avenue, West Warwick. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visiting hours Friday 4:00-7:00 pm.
