Loretta Marie Ross

ROSS, Loretta Marie, 87, of Providence, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James Joseph and Teresa (Sullivan) Ross and sister of the late James Francis Ross.

Loretta graduated from St. Xavier Academy and then from Salve Regina College in 1952.  A dedicated life-long teacher, Loretta taught English and History for many years at Classical High School.  Her family and friends appreciated her love of literature and music, admired her spiritual commitment, and will miss her and her warm smile and joyful laugh.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, Cathedral Square, Providence.  Interment will be private.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  Information and condolences please visit: www.galloglyfuneralhome.com
