Joe B. Petty

PETTY, Joe B., 72, of Narragansett Ave., West Warwick, passed away surround by his loving family at home on Monday evening, March 5, 2018.

He was the beloved husband of the late Karen L. (Cayouette) Petty.  Born in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Dee Emerson and Helen M. (Feight) Petty.

Joe was an insurance agent for 40 years before retiring in 2010 from AllState Insurance.  He was a Vietnam War Navy Veteran serving with the “Seabee” Battalion.  He enjoyed his trips to his home in New Hampshire and golfing and will be missed by his dog “Bode”.

He is survived by a son, Jason B. Petty of West Warwick; a daughter, Kerri L. Beverly and her husband Troy of Coventry; a sister, Merry Joy Heisler and her husband Fred of Piqua, OH and several nieces and nephews.  He was the brother of the late Elwood and Logan Petty.

His funeral service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 9:00 am in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy Street, West Warwick followed by military honors at 10:30 am in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.  Visiting hours Friday, 4:00-7:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers contributions to The Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 in his memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolence please visit: www.henault-gallogly.com
