GREENE, Helen E. “Betty” (Lawton), 78, of Sparrows Point Apartments, Hardig Road, Warwick, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Kent Hospital, Warwick.

Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Ada R. (Grabbert) Lawton. She resided in Western Cranston for many years.

Betty foremost was a mom but worked as a chemist at Bradford Soapworks for many years and a Home Health Care Aide before retiring. She was a farmer’s daughter, loved being outdoors and enjoyed crafting and sewing.

She is survived by her loving son, David C. Greene and his wife Tammy of Foster; a granddaughter, Chelsey T. Greene and her husband Rob Martin and two sisters, Judith and Barbara. She was the loving mother of the late Michael P. Greene and Debbie Mattingly and sister of the late Fred Lawton, Jr.

Her funeral service and interment will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
