TREMAINE, Harold O. “Ollie”, 88, of Lady Lake Florida, formerly of North Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care, The Villages, Florida.
He was the beloved husband of Barbara M. (Brissette) Tremaine, they had been married for sixty-six years. Born in Lima, Ohio, he was a son of the late Harold W. and Dorothy (Tunks) Tremaine. He resided in North Providence for many years before moving to Lady Lake, FL several years ago.
Mr. Tremaine was a chef at Providence College for many years until retiring. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran, enjoyed golfing and bowling and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
Besides his wife he leaves three children, Daniel O. Tremaine and his wife Barbara of Lady Lake, FL, Laurence W. Tremaine and his wife Rowena of Lady Lady, FL and Barbara A. Vargas and her husband Manrique of Coventry; two sisters, Helen Ward of Toledo, OH and Lynn Beggin of Lima, OH; four grandchildren, Lauren, Candi, Matthew and Mark; five great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Judith A. Brissette. He was the brother of the late Catherine Logan and Lucille Hahn.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 20, 2019 from 8:30-10:00 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a funeral home service at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
