Willis R. Davis, Jr.

Willis R. Davis, Jr., 75, of Coventry, formerly of West Warwick,  passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Willis R. and Edith (Almy) Davis.  He resided in Tiverton and West Warwick.

Mr. Davis was a truck driver with Mrs. Kavanagh’s Bakery Company for many years before retiring.  He served with the United States Navy and was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by two daughters, Carole Gracia of Swansea, MA and Megan M. Laurent of West Warwick; two sons, Jeffrey Davis of Cape Cod and Brian Davis of Swansea, MA, two sisters, Lillian Buckley of Tiverton and Helen Howell in New Hampshire; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Committal Service on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery Columbarium Committal Center, 301 South County Trail, Exeter followed by military honors.  (Guests may gather at 12:45 pm at the Administration Building parking lot on the right as you enter the cemetery).  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 in his memory would be appreciated.   Information and condolences, please visit: www.henault-gallogly.com.
