Paul Messier Obituary

MESSIER, Paul H., 76, of Trellis Drive, West Warwick, passed away Easter morning, Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Greenwood Care and Rehabilitation Center, Warwick.

A lifelong resident of West Warwick, he was the son of the late Eric and Doris (Benoit) Messier.

Mr. Messier was employed at New England Telephone now Verizon for many years before retiring as a service manager in the Boston office.  He was a 1960 graduate of West Warwick High School and a graduate of the former RI Radio and Electronic Technical School.  He was a Vietnam War Air Force Veteran and served on the Board of Directors with the West Warwick Assistance Agency.

He is survived by a brother, Ronald E. Messier and his wife Shirlee Lombardo of Warwick and two nephews, Neal Messier of Attleboro, MA and Marc Messier of West Warwick.  He was the brother of the late Eric Messier, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:00 am in Christ the King Church, Legris Ave., West Warwick. Interment with military honors will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The West Warwick Assistance Agency, 1293 Main Street, West Warwick, RI 02893 in his memory would be appreciated.
