Lucy A. (St. Jean) Sutyla

SUTYLA, Lucy A. (St. Jean), 84, of Hope, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, March 14, 2016 at Riverview Health Care Community, surrounded by her loving family.  

She was the beloved wife of the late Felix A. Sutyla and the late John Piasczyk, Jr.  Born in Mont-Carmel, Quebec, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Theodore J. “Ted” and Anne Marie (Lavoie) St. Jean.  She was a resident of Hope for 50 years.  

Mrs. Sutyla, along with her husband, owned Tyler Jewelers in West Warwick for over 40 years before retiring in 1991.  She was most happy spending time with her children and grandchildren and was previously active in parish activities at Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church and SS. Peter & Paul Church.

She was the loving mother of Cheryl A. Foss of Coventry, Kathleen A. Carrington and her husband Wayne of Foster and Mark A. Sutyla and his wife Patricia of Coventry; five siblings, Marie Marro, Denise Roch, Louise Pastore, Jude and Claude St. Jean; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin and Colin Sutyla, Justin and Eric Leveillee, Andrea Cline and Andrew Carrington and two great grandchildren, Austin Cline and Averie Belle Carrington.  She was the mother of the late Deborah Leveillee.

Visitation and funeral will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 9:00-10:30 am in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in SS.
