My Sympathies to the family. Mrs. Lacroix was my teacher at St. John's many years ago and then taught my two girls in Coventry in the 80's.
I graduated St. John's with her Son, Larry.
God bless and keep the family during these hard times.

To all Denise's cousins, may we express our saddened expressions of Love to you and your families. I know that Denise thought a great deal of your mom as did I. Her smile and gift of love will live on in you!

I knew Lorraine and her husband, Maurice, as members of St John's Choir. A beautiful and loving couple, indeed!
The obituary speaks volume of her beautiful soul. It is resting in peace with its Creator. A much deserved reward.
She and Maurice left their world and ours a much better place for which we are most grateful.

Marc - very sorry for the loss of you mom.
It's been quite awhile since I moved to Connecticut and crossing paths with you - we shared some interesting experiences back in the day and still think of you a lifelong friend. As you know I knew your dad from our bowling days and may have met your mom once or twice. Didn't know she was a teacher - both my daughters became Special Ed teachers and love their profession.
Hope you and family are doing well always and again - my sincerest condolences.

I was very saddened to see that Lorraine had passed away. When those we love move unto heaven and we are left behind, it leaves us with so much sadness, it can be a challenging time. However, their spirits have an amazing way of speaking to our hearts forever. Memories will carry you in this sad time. I will miss her. My prayers and love go with her and the extended family.

So sorry for your loss. She was my kindergarten teacher back at Monsignor Vincent school. My mother kept in contact with her throughout the years. She (and her husband) were such nice people. We pray peace and comfort for the family.

To the Family and Friends of Lorraine Lacroix,

I was very sad to learn of Lorriane Lacroix's passing. My childhood memories are attached to the Lacroix family as we children played together in our neighborhood in Arctic. My mother, also named Lorraine, kept her eyes on us when Mrs. Lacroix was busy and vice versa. Mr. and Mrs. Lacroix were very close friends of my parents, Leon and Lorraine Ewin and did a great amount of socializing together. As we got older, we were always invited to the annual July 4th cookout and I still dream about the chowder! This was a family that stood together throughout many challenges and it is clear to me that Lorraine and Jimmy Lacroix were strong, loving and devoted parents. I miss my parents but I know that they are having a reunion in heaven with two of their best friends. I am in New York City and can not attend the funeral but I will be thinking of you all and sending you my peace and sympathy and will make a donation to Crossroads in her memory.
Paula Ewin (and Gary!)

Rarely do we meet someone as kind, caring, compassionate, giving, accepting, gracious and loving as Lorraine Lacroix. Lorraine was always interested in any and all things, and a joy to spend time with. While we have sad hearts right now, what a comfort to know that she is once again holding hands with her beloved Jimmy. They truly were a steadfast unit. They welcomed our son Adam into their family immediately. We feel blessed to have had this Christian couple in our lives. We have wonderful memories of visiting in their home, and having them visit in ours. Good times while touring Martha's Vineyard and surrounding areas in RI, and the Biltmore House and Blue Ridge mountains in NC. We are convinced there was nothing that Jim could not design, build or "fix". Our thoughts and prayers are with Celeste and the Lacroix family.

To the Lacroix family: My deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved mother. Midnight Mass at St. John the Baptist was never the same without her beautiful voice. May she solo again with the "Choir of angels in heaven", no doubt she'll fit right in...May the Lord give you all strength in the days ahead, her legacy and that of your Dad will live on in your loving family.
With love,
Rose

Lorraine (and Jimmy Jimmy) were both such amazing humans. I have very fond memories of their loving, welcoming ways. As a guest in their home, I had a hoot of a time playing Pitch or chatting (as we watched Celeste cook!). I didn't see them often, but I did call them periodically to chat, and they were fun and funny! Lorraine also thoughtfully sent cards to our home to commemorate different occasions. My goodness, but Lorraine was a dear (Jimmy Jimmy too!) I wasn't able to visit often, but over the last 25 years when I did visit, they always welcomed me like I was one of the family. During visits, Lorraine was always asking if I needed anything to eat or drink or etc. (While Jimmy Jimmy was sharing humorous stories!)
When I had the great honor of officiating Celeste and Adam's wedding, I was worried that because of Lorraine and Jimmy's strong faith, they'd be upset or dislike my contribution to the wedding. I should never have worried because they lived by the loving ideology of their religion. At all times, they showed compassion and kindness to me and my family. Lorraine and Jimmy were both thoughtful, intelligent and inclusive. I'm thankful to have had Lorraine and Jimmy in my life, and my thoughts are with the family as they deal with their loss.
