KERCHNER, Leonard A., 89, of Musket Road, West Warwick, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Kent Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Catherine A. (Brennan) Kerchner, they had been married for 60 years.  Born in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of the late Anton and Anna (Braun) Kerchner.  He resided in Chicopee, MA before moving to West Warwick 35 years ago.Mr. Kerchner was a chemical engineer employed with Ansco, Kodak, Scott Paper, Arkwright and Narragansett Bay Commission for many years before retiring.  He was a WW II Navy Veteran, communicant of Christ the King Church, 1950 graduate of Lehigh University and enjoyed photography, stamp and coin collecting.   

Besides his wife he leaves three sons, Michael T. Kerchner and his wife Jeani Narcum of Chestertown, MD, Stephen E. Kerchner and his wife Elizabeth Ann Carson of Wiscasset, Maine and Paul F. Kerchner of Chicopee, MA; a granddaughter, Ellen Kerchner and a sister, Martha Moyer of Del Mar, CA.  He was the brother of the late Thomas Kerchner.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 am in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Christ the King Church, 120 Legris Avenue, West Warwick.  Interment will be Thursday, June 18, 201 5 at 11:30 am in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Chicopee, MA.  Information and condolences please visit: www.henault-gallogly.com
