Joseph J. Kirk

KIRK, Joseph J., 93, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at West Shore Nursing Center, Warwick.

He was the husband of Agnes M. (Giblin) Kirk.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John H. and Martha E. (Farrand) Kirk.  He resided in Warwick for most of his life.

Mr. Kirk was a self-employed electrician for many years until his retirement.  He was a World War II Navy Veteran and received the Victory Metal.

He is survived by a daughter, Jane-Ellen Kirk and her partner, Mary Comerford of North Kingstown and a son, John J. Kirk and his partner, Jennifer Mahar of Narragansett and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 from 11:00-12:30 pm in the HENAULT- GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy Street, West Warwick, followed by a funeral home service at 12:30 pm.  Interment with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
