Harold V. Baten

BATEN, Harold V. “Harry”, 92, of  West Warwick, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 28, 2015 at West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

He was the beloved husband of Lucille S. (Lafayette) Baten, they had been married for 43 years.  Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Mary Ellen (Verrier) Baten.  He was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.

Mr. Baten was employed by First National Stores for 39 years before retiring in 1980.  He enjoyed playing pool, watching old westerns and vacationing in NH and Virginia Beach.   

Besides his loving wife he leaves three step-children, Robert L. Normandin of Newport Beach, CA, Janice A. Scanlon and her husband Albert of Pawtucket, Mark A. Normandin of West Warwick; a granddaughter, Kerri Ulrich and her husband Jason and two great grandchildren, Kassie and Ani.  He was the grandfather of the late Shawn P. Scanlon.

 Visitation and funeral will be held Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 am in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Mary Church, Church St., West Warwick.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery.  Information and condolences, please visit: www.henault-gallogly.com
