Gloria A. (Brzoza) Selby

Gloria A. (Brzoza) Selby, 78, of School Street, West Warwick, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at Miriam Hospital in Providence.

Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Albert R. Brzoza, WWPD and Bertha C. (Kulas) Brzoza.  She was a lifelong resident of the Crompton section of West Warwick.

Gloria was a licensed practical nurse at the Rhode Island State Medical Center in Cranston for many years before retiring.  She was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary Church.

She was an extremely loving, devoted, hardworking mother, grandmother and friend. She truly had a heart of gold and the intentions of an angel. She has brought such an abundance of love, happiness, and memories into our lives and we will forever miss her. Her beautiful soul will continue to live on through our hearts, each day, until we finally meet again.

She is survived by three daughters, Jean M. Selby of West Warwick, Diane L. Salvas and her husband Lionel H., Jr. of Coventry and Maureen C. Wilkicki and her husband Hugh of Salisbury, NC; a son, James A. Selby of West Warwick; five grandchildren, Jennifer L. Salvas-Lewis, Ryan M. Selby, Bethanie M. Salvas, Alexandra L. Rossi and Matthew T. Salvas and four great grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late John W. Selby.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 8:00 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy Street, West Warwick.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am in St. Mary Church, 70 Church Street, West Warwick.  Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.  Visiting hours Monday 5-7 pm.  In lieu of flowers contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, RI Chapter, 245 Waterman St., Ste. 306, Providence, RI 02906 in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences, please visit: www.henault-gallogly.com
