Dorothy G. (Lautieri) Jenkins

JENKINS, Dorothy G. (Lautieri), 93, of Forest Avenue, West Warwick, passed away Monday evening, April 23, 2018 at West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was the wife of Marshall B. Jenkins and the late Joseph F. Gardosik.  A lifelong resident of West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Michele and Angelina (Marinelli) Lautieri.

Mrs. Jenkins was a teacher’s assistant with the West Warwick School Department for twenty seven years before retiring in 1993.  She enjoyed her time spent with family.

Besides her husband Marshall to whom she was married for 47 years, she leaves a son, Joseph G. Gardosik and his wife Paula of West Warwick; a daughter, Laura E. Keith and her husband Bruce of Acton, MA; four grandchildren, Joel and Jill Gardosik and Ted and Joe Keith and two great granddaughters, Aubrey and Brynn Gardosik.  She was the sister of the late Lorna Smith, Yvonne Lombardo, Michelina Ricci, William, Vincenzo and Rose Lautieri.

Her funeral will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 at 8:00 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick.  Interment will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.  Visiting hours Thursday 4:00-7:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers contributions to the Catholic Charity Fund Appeal, One Cathedral Square, Providence, RI 02903 in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences please visit: www.henault-gallogly.com
