Deborah J. (Silva) Lech

LECH, Deborah J. (Silva), 62, of Elizabeth Court, West Warwick, passed away Monday evening, March 30, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late John J. Lech.  Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Raymond N. and Madeline “Maggie” (Furtado) Silva.  She was a resident of West Warwick for most of her life.

Mrs. Lech was a clerk in the finance department for the Town of West Warwick for 28 years before retiring in 1998.  Following retirement she was employed at the Christmas Tree Shop.  Her enjoyments were watching her grandsons play sports, visits to Foxwoods and volunteering at Kent Hospital.

She is survived by a daughter, Melissa A. Griffin and her husband Chris, with whom she resided; loving vovo of Sean and Brendan Griffin; a brother, Scott R. Silva and his wife Lisa of West Warwick; her mother-in-law, Genevieve (Plaziak) Lech of Coventry; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Castro of Coventry and a niece, Brieona Silva.  She was the sister of the late Patricia Salisbury.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, Apr. 7, 2015 at 9 am from the HENAULT – GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in SS. John and James Parish of St. John the Baptist Church, Washington Street, West Warwick.   Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick.  Visiting hours Monday 4-7 pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the West Warwick Cal Ripken Baseball League, P.O.
