Celia P. (Stoy) Proulx

PROULX, Celia P. (Stoy), 94, of Shady Acres Nursing Home, West Kingston and formerly of Coventry, passed away Sunday evening, Aug. 16, 2015 at Kent Hospital

She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice A. Proulx who died December 30, 1962.  Born in Coventry, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katarzyna (Bolek) Stoy.  She was a resident of Coventry for most of her life.   

Mrs. Proulx was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She worked many years at Bostitch in East Greenwich before retiring in 1982 and was a communicant of Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, enjoyed reading, playing cards, bingo, knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy P. Kiddy and her husband David of Jewett City, CT and two grandsons, David C. Kiddy, IV of Canterbury, CT and Trevor M. Kiddy and his wife Susan of South Windham, CT.  She also leaves the love of her life, her great grandson, Caden Kiddy.  He was the spark that kept her going until the end along with great grandchildren, Kelsey McAllister and Nathan McAllister.  She was the sister of the late Bertha Wytrwal, Josephine Jalbert and Genevieve Burdette and Alice Rapozo.

Her funeral will be held Friday, Aug. 21, 2015 at 9 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa  Church, Washington St., Coventry.  Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery., West Warwick.  Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 pm.   Celia’s favorite color was blue – In her honor wear a little blue.  Information and condolences please visit: www.henault-gallogly.com
