Cecilia B. (Magiera) Keenan

KEENAN, Cecilia B. (Magiera), 94, formerly of New London Avenue, West Warwick, passed Wednesday evening, August 23, 2017 at Riverview Health Care Community.

She was the wife of the late John J. Keenan, Sr.  Born in Coventry, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Skorski) Magiera.

Mrs. Keenan was a medical secretary for her brother, Dr. Daniel Magiera, for 28 years before retiring in 1985.  She was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, a graduate of West Warwick High School, an avid golfer and sports fan.

She leaves two sons, John J. Keenan, Jr, of West Warwick and Stephen J. Keenan and his wife Barbara of West Warwick; four granddaughters, Jennifer, Katelyn, Ashley and Amanda; six great grandchildren, Sierra, Bradon, Cameron, Tyler, Madeline and Alice; three brothers, Frank J., Ambrose R. and David J. Magiera and a sister, Stasia Spear.  She was the sister of the late Isabelle Brown, Bernard F. "Benny", Sylvester, Louis, Eugene, Sophie and Dr. Daniel Magiera.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 8:45 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy Street, West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington St., Coventry.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.  Visiting hours Sunday 3:00-6:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences, please visit: www.henault-gallogly.com
