Amelia M. (Pieknik) Kusiak

KUSIAK, Amelia M. (Pieknik), 86, of Coventry, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at Kent Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred J. Kusiak, upon his death they had had been married for 57 years.  Born in Taunton, MA, she was a daughter of the late Zygmunt and Mary (Czurczak) Pieknik.  She was a resident of Coventry for most of her life.

Mrs. Kusiak was the co-owner along with her husband, Al, and worked with her family at Green Thumb Greenhouses in Coventry.  She was the happiest spending time with her family, especially with her three grandsons who always put a smile on her face and she was blessed to have met her great grandson, Tucker.

She is survived by a son, Paul A. Kusiak of Coventry and his companion Dianne; a daughter, Nancy M. McDade and her husband James of Westerly; three grandsons, Andrew McDade and his wife Jill, Daniel McDade and his wife Lauren and Timothy McDade; a great grandson, Tucker McDade and a sister, Helen Pieknik.  She was the sister of the late Ted and Henry Pieknik.

Her visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 from 9:00-10:30 am in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington St., Coventry.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Pilgrim's Baptist Church Teen Ministry, 27 Chase Hill Rd., Ashaway, RI 02804, in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences, please visit: www.henault-gallogly.com
