Albert G. Langlais

LANGLAIS, Albert G., 82, of Reservation Dr., Hope, passed away Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.

He was the husband of the late Marjorie L. (Johnson) Langlais.  Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Rosario J. and Albertine D. (Blanchard) Langlais.  He resided in Hope for most of his life.

Mr. Langlais was an electrical engineer with General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division in Groton, CT for 31 years before retiring in 1995.  He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, a member of the Hope Historical Society, Hope Associates, (a local conservation group), served on the Scituate Republican Town Committee, a life member of the Hope Jackson Fire Department and the American Legion Post 2 West Warwick.

He is survived by three daughters, Cheryl E. Langlais, Debra L. Smith and Linda M. Foss all of Hope; a brother, Arthur R. Langlais of Hope and three grandsons, David, Alex and Aron.  He was the brother of the late Richard J. Langlais.

His funeral will be held Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016 at 9 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in SS. John & Paul  Church, South Main St., Coventry.  Interment will follow with military honors in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Warwick.  Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hope Associates Endowment Fund, P.O.
